The STIHL HS 82 R petrol hedge trimmer has been systematically designed for pruning tasks. The transmission is specially tailored to low engine speeds, resulting in high forces with low blade speeds. This is of particular benefit to horticulture and landscaping professionals and local authority workers. Its blade geometry, large tooth spacing and gear ratio generate high cutting force. Thanks to the double-sided cutting blades, you can also carry out precise pruning when maintaining bushes and shrubs as well as trimming hedges, so you tackle your large-volume cutting work quickly and efficiently.

The STIHL HS 82 R professional hedge trimmer features a high-torque STIHL 2-MIX engine. The STIHL anti-vibration system absorbs engine vibrations to make long periods of work as comfortable as possible, protecting your muscles and joints in the process. With its rotatable multi-function handle, which you can turn through 90° to the right or left, you can use the STIHL HS 82 R petrol hedge trimmer in an ergonomically favourable position for every cut.

The stop button ensures that the engine is ready to start again immediately after an interruption in work. The screw-on cut protection and tip protector protect you and the blades as you work. The STIHL HS 82 is equipped with a tool-free fuel cap so that you can top up fuels as quickly as possible.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM

RELIABLE STARTING. The electronic ignition system ensures reliable starting and trouble-free engine running. The high ignition voltage of the fully enclosed ignition system ensures a stable ignition spark and a long spark burn time. This also improves fuel combustion and reduces exhaust emissions.

PRUNING VERSION

FOR LARGE-VOLUME PRUNING. If you want to cut back thick hedges and shrubs at large scale, a hedge trimmer with pruning version allows you to carry out this work more quickly and easily. R-version blades are equipped with large blade spacing and increased blade height. The gear ratio ensures a very high cutting force.

STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM

Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

STIHL 2-MIX Engine

The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. Separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas minimises scavenging losses, and therefore increases the power output while reducing consumption.

The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.

DOUBLE-SIDED CUTTING BLADE

FOR OPTIMAL HEDGE CUTTING. The double-sided cutting blade facilitates optimum hedge cutting: vertically, horizontally and in corners. Thanks to the double-sided cutting blades, you can effectively trim or prune your hedge – even those thicker branches.

ROTATABLE MULTI-FUNCTION HANDLE

ERGONOMIC, COMFORTABLE WORKING. The rotatable multi-function handle enables precise and comfortable cutting with your hedge trimmer, both at your side and at head height. It can be rotated 90° to the left and right, and so is also suitable for left-handed and right-handed users. This means the power tool is always in the most ergonomically effective position in your hand.
