The practical loop handle provides support for clearing work between bushes and shrubs and for working in confined spaces. It gives you the best possible freedom of movement.

The powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine offers you a good ratio of cutting performance and low fuel consumption. Thanks to the large fuel tank, you can also manage long periods of use without major interruptions. If you resume work after an interruption, the integrated stop button helps you continue work straight away without pressing a switch. The single-handed multi-function handle also helps you to work effectively. You can use it to access all the essential functions quickly and easily. The STIHL FS 240 R petrol brushcutter is equipped with the STIHL anti-vibration system to protect your muscles and joints.

If you are planning longer periods of use, the harness supplied as standard will help you distribute the weight of the power tool more effectively. The brushcutter is equipped with an air filter and has a long service life, enabling long changeover intervals.

ENSURES LONG CHANGEOVER INTERVALS. Thanks to its long service life, you rarely need to change the easily accessible filter. This saves resources and reduces maintenance effort.

STIHL 2-MIX Engine

The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. Separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas minimises scavenging losses, and therefore increases the power output while reducing consumption.

The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.

STOP BUTTON

RESTART WORK QUICKLY. With the stop button, you can switch off your power tool quickly and easily for a short break, for example. As the button springs back to its original position after actuation, the engine is immediately ready to start again. This provides more comfort after breaks and increases your work efficiency.

STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM

Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
