The particularly powerful STIHL FS 131 brushcutter is a winning choice for professionals in landscape maintenance. The powerful STIHL 4-MIX® engine delivers sufficient power for working on areas of tough grass. The reduced-emissions unit offers impressive engine power and transmits its high torque to the cutting tool via a rigid drive shaft. The STIHL FS 131 petrol brushcutter is equipped with an ergonomic bike handle that ensures you can work on large areas as effectively as possible, and supports a natural scything motion.

The one-hand multi-function handle allows you to access all essential functions quickly and easily. Should you wish to pause in your work and resume later, the integrated stop button means you can restart the brushcutter and continue working directly, without activating any switches. This brushcutter is equipped with the STIHL anti-vibration system to protect your muscles and joints, especially during longer periods of use. The double shoulder harness supplied as standard also helps you to distribute the weight of the device more evenly over your body.

The STIHL FS 131 petrol brushcutter is equipped with an air filter that has a long service life, so you need spend minimal time on maintenance. This allows for long intervals between filter changes and ensures you can enjoy longer periods of uninterrupted use, allowing you to mow even larger areas effortlessly and particularly efficiently.

STOP BUTTON

RESTART WORK QUICKLY. With the stop button, you can switch off your power tool quickly and easily for a short break, for example. As the button springs back to its original position after actuation, the engine is immediately ready to start again. This provides more comfort after breaks and increases your work efficiency.

EFFORTLESS MOWING OF LARGE AREAS. The ergonomic bike handle helps you mow large areas quickly and effortlessly, as this handle supports a natural brushcutter movement. The bike handle is easy to adjust and secure.

STIHL 4-MIX® ENGINE

FOR FANTASTIC ENGINE POWER WITH LOW MAINTENANCE. The STIHL 4-MIX® engine is a four-stroke engine that does not require any oil circuit components, thanks to refuelling with an oil and gasoline mix. That’s why it’s more compact, more lightweight, and requires less maintenance than conventional four-stroke engines, while at the same time being powerful and offering a comfortable sound pattern. STIHL 4-MIX® engines comply with the European Stage V emissions directive.

STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM

Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.

AUTOMATIC DECOMPRESSION

EFFORTLESS STARTING. Automatic decompression makes it easier to start the engine. This is because the system automatically opens the intake valve when the engine is started; the opening time of the valve is extended, and as a result the compression pressure is reduced. This significantly reduces the force required on the starter cord.

TOOL-FREE HANDLE ADJUSTMENT

SET THE BIKE HANDLE POSITION. You can individually adjust the ergonomic bike handle (mowing handle) using the central clamping device. Thanks to the tool-free handle adjustment, you do not need any tools for this. The bike handle can be rotated 90 degrees for transport and space-saving storage.

LONG AIR FILTER SERVICE LIFE

ENSURES LONG CHANGEOVER INTERVALS. Thanks to its long service life, you rarely need to change the easily accessible filter. This saves resources and reduces maintenance effort.
