If the type and thickness of the material you are tackling require extremely high engine performance, the STIHL TS 800 petrol cut-off machine with 400 mm composite resin cutting wheel is the right choice for you. The TS 800 petrol cut-off machine can be equipped with the optional robust STIHL D-SB diamond cutting wheel, especially for longer and more intensive jobs. This high-performance power tool is equipped with a powerful STIHL 2-MIX engine for professional applications such as cutting structural steel, concrete, asphalt or pipes. The STIHL TS 800 cut-off machine is suitable for use at cutting depths up to 145 mm. The motorised cut-off machine can be guided by hand, with the ergonomic handle design withloop handle ensuring a secure hold as you work. For professional applications in the fields ofconstruction or road construction, we also recommend using the STIHL TS 800 with the STIHL FW 20 cart, which allows for particularly precise cuts and also facilitates longer cutting distances.
The STIHL ElastoStart function, in conjunction with the decompression valve, enables effortless starting of the tool. Thanks to the STIHL anti-vibration system, you can also protect your muscles and joints when working with the STIHL TS 800 cut-off machine. The positioning of the water connection for binding dust to the cutting wheel also helps you to work effectively, while the long-life air filter system and the compensator extend intervals between cleaning and so ensure a longer uninterrupted working time. Semi-automatic belt tensioning extends the belt and bearing service life.
The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. Separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas minimises scavenging losses, and therefore increases the power output while reducing consumption.
The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.
LONG-LIFE AIR FILTER SYSTEM FOR CUT-OFF MACHINES
ENSURES A LONG FILTER SERVICE LIFE. The long-life air filter system for cut-off machines does not collect coarse dust particles, but uses cyclone air routing to separate them and then discharges them into the ambient air. With just this first step the system removes around 80% of dust particles in the intake air. This enables an extremely long filter service life, and makes the tool easy to maintain.
STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
WATER CONNECTION
FOR DUST BINDING AND COOLING. When working with your power tool, a permanent water supply is provided for flushing the cutting wheel. It is used to bind dust and cool the cut. With the water connection directly on the power tool, this rinsing is easy and permanently assured.
MANUAL FUEL PUMP
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required from a cold start.
COMPENSATOR
REDUCED MAINTENANCE. The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.
MANUAL DECOMPRESSION
EFFORTLESS START-UP. The decompression valve makes it easier to start your power tool. When starting, you can allow some of the compressed mixture to escape from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the start-up system and reduces the amount of force required on the starter cord.
ERGONOMIC HANDLE
FOR PRECISE GUIDANCE. With the ergonomic handle, you can keep a firm grip on your power tool and carry out cuts precisely, even when dealing with very hard stone. The curved handle offers you an optimised grip position and the highest level of comfort when working.
SEMI-AUTOMATIC STIHL BELT TENSIONING
EXTENDS THE BELT’S SERVICE LIFE. Semi-automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. All you need is to adjust the adjustment screw with your spark plug wrench. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. For more detailed information on re-tensioning, please refer to the operating instructions of your power tool.
MAGNESIUM GUARD
LIGHTWEIGHT AND STABLE. The cutting wheel guard ensures that you are not hit by flying cut material or cooling water from the cutting wheel. The cast magnesium guard is very lightweight and robust.
