With the STIHL TS 440 petrol cut-off machine, you are ideally equipped for professional applications in the areas of construction and civil engineering. Whether you need to cut concrete, stone, asphalt, structural steel or pipes, the STIHL TS 440 cut-off machine, equipped with a 350 mm cutting wheel such as the STIHL D-SB 80 diamond cutting wheel, will complete all of these tasks reliably. Thanks to the extended guard adjustment, the tool can be used efficiently in tight spaces when cutting pipes, corners and walls. If there is a strong kickback, the STIHL QuickStop cutting wheel brake stops the cutting wheel in a fraction of a second.
The high-performance STIHL 2-MIX engine, combined with the two-level belt drive, ensures high engine power when carrying out demanding cutting applications. The optional retrofittable STIHL ElastoStart function and decompression valve reduce the amount of force required to start the machine, so that you can work comfortably with the STIHL TS 440. Meanwhile, the ergonomic handle design and, in particular, the STIHL anti-vibration system protect your muscles and joints while you work.
The electronic water control automatically ensures optimal cooling of the cutting wheel and dust binding. LONG-LIFE AIR FILTER SYSTEM FOR CUT-OFF MACHINES
ENSURES A LONG FILTER SERVICE LIFE. The long-life air filter system for cut-off machines does not collect coarse dust particles, but uses cyclone air routing to separate them and then discharges them into the ambient air. With just this first step the system removes around 80% of dust particles in the intake air. This enables an extremely long filter service life, and makes the tool easy to maintain.
STIHL 2-MIX Engine
The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. Separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas minimises scavenging losses, and therefore increases the power output while reducing consumption.
The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.
STIHL QUICKSTOP CUTTING WHEEL BRAKE
FOR MORE VERSATILITY. In confined spaces, it may be useful to open out the wheel guard when using your cut-off machine, so you can then also cut upwards. To ensure that you work as safely as possible even in this kind of situation, if sufficient kickback occurs the sensor-controlled STIHL QuickStop cutting wheel brake stops the cutting wheel in a fraction of a second.
STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
TWO-STAGE BELT DRIVE
ENGINE POWER FOR DEMANDING CUTS. The two-stage belt drive gives your cut-off machine extra torque at the cut-off wheel. This means that even challenging cuts can be made cleanly, as high engine power means the cut-off machine is unimpaired by high cutting pressure.
MANUAL DECOMPRESSION
EFFORTLESS START-UP. The decompression valve makes it easier to start your power tool. When starting, you can allow some of the compressed mixture to escape from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the start-up system and reduces the amount of force required on the starter cord.
MANUAL FUEL PUMP
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required from a cold start.
MAGNESIUM GUARD
LIGHTWEIGHT AND STABLE. The cutting wheel guard ensures that you are not hit by flying cut material or cooling water from the cutting wheel. The cast magnesium guard is very lightweight and robust.
STIHL ELECTRONIC WATER CONTROL
FOR OPTIMAL WATER SUPPLY. Thanks to electronic water control, you can reduce water consumption during your work with cut-off machines. Simply activate the electronic water control with the touch of a button after starting. The water supply switches on in a speed-controlled manner, and switches off again automatically when idling. Use the plus and minus buttons to measure the water quantity without changing your grip position.
