To reduce noise and significantly increase energy efficiency when mowing dense grass with the brushcutter, the PolyCut 48-2 mowing head is fitted with 2 robust plastic blades instead of a mowing line. Compared to mowing with mowing line , the use of plastic blades noticeably reduces fuel consumption. The scope of delivery also includes 6 replacement plastic blades. You can also optionally equip the STIHL PolyCut 48-2 with a mowing line with a diameter of 2.4 mm or 2.7 mm. This is particularly suitable for working along curbs or other obstacles.
STIHL plastic blades are easy to change. Once you have jammed the shaft using the plug-in arbour included with your brushcutter, you can turn off the mowing head and change the blades on the brushcutter . The STIHL PolyCut 48-2 is equipped with a protective plate as standard to reduce wear and increase the cutting height.
The STIHL PolyCut 48‑2 mowing head can be used with the following STIHL brushcutters and clearing saws:
- STIHL FS 311
You can also use this mowing head with the discontinued STIHL FS 160, STIHL FS 220, STIHL FS 300, STIHL FS 350 and STIHL FS 360 brushcutters.
Note: Mowing heads may only be used with a special mowing guard or a compatible STIHL cutting tool guard.
