The powerful, versatile and easy-to-use STIHL MSA 80 C-B battery chainsaw is ideal for precisely cutting branches or shrubs or felling smaller trees in domestic gardens or on your property. You can also use it to quickly and effectively carry out manual work such as woodworking or cutting construction timber. The STIHL MSA 80 C-B works with batteries from the STIHL AK System, and is so quiet that you can work without hearing protection and use the saw in noise-sensitive areas.

Thanks to the standard 30 cm cutting attachment with the 1/4" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) saw chain and the STIHL Light 01 guide bar, you can reliably carry out cleaner and smoother cuts. The low weight of the system and the powerful, energy-efficient EC motor ensure optimum balance and the necessary power.

You can use the control lever with potentiometer function to continuously adjust the speed of your battery chainsaw. A rubberised softgrip handle gives you a good grip, great working comfort and increases ergonomics. The MSA 80 C-B battery chainsaw features STIHL quick chain adjuster for safe and easy chain tensioning without tools. The additional QuickStop Super chain brake increases your safety, as the saw chain stops immediately when you let go of the rear handle. You can keep an eye on the oil level at all times with the transparent oil tank.

RUBBER SOFT HANDLE WITH ERGO LEVER

FOR COMFORTABLE HANDLING. Thanks to the soft components on the control handle, your work tool sits comfortably in the hand and can be guided safely. The softgrip handle also improves your grip, especially when wet. The ergonomic lever also makes work easier, as there is no need to unlock the machine again while working, as long as one hand continuously remains on the rear handle.

PERFORMANCE ELECTRONICS WITH DERATING FUNCTION

EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE MONITORING. The derating function offers you two advantages in your work: first, this function protects your chainsaw against possible overheating by reducing the current. Additionally, it notifies you by means of a reduction in power if you only have very little battery power remaining. In both cases, the function allows you to finish cuts that have already started without the engine switching off.

STIHL QUICK CHAIN TENSIONING

RE-TENSION THE SAW CHAIN TOOL-FREE. Thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, you can tension your saw chain quickly and without tools, thanks to the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left releases tension on the saw chain, and turning the adjustment wheel to the right tensions the saw chain. The guide bar will be automatically secured when you tighten the sprocket cover.

POWER LEVELS

INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition. POWER BOOST

MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE INCREASE. Thanks to intelligent electronics, STIHL power tools and batteries communicate with each other. If the device and battery are equipped with the POWER BOOST function, the battery always provides the maximum possible power for the respective application. In order to ensure optimum battery life, the device temporarily adjusts the power if it is used too intensively.
