With the STIHL MSA 160 C-B battery chainsaw, you are ideally equipped for work in domestic environments, horticulture and landscape maintenance or in trades. As the engine is quiet and emissions-free in operation, you can use this powerhouse in noise-sensitive areas and even enclosed spaces.

The STIHL MSA 160 C-B chainsaw is a powerhouse among battery chainsaws using the STIHL AP System. The direct transmission of power to the STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain, along with the intelligently controlled engine performance, ensure excellent cutting power, even for thicker branches and beams. Designed to have a small number of electrical components, the saw is impressively lightweight considering the performance it offers. STIHL QUICK CHAIN TENSIONING

RE-TENSION THE SAW CHAIN TOOL-FREE. Thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, you can tension your saw chain quickly and without tools, thanks to the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left releases tension on the saw chain, and turning the adjustment wheel to the right tensions the saw chain. The guide bar will be automatically secured when you tighten the sprocket cover.

RUBBER SOFT HANDLE WITH ERGO LEVER

FOR COMFORTABLE HANDLING. Thanks to the soft components on the control handle, your work tool sits comfortably in the hand and can be guided safely. The softgrip handle also improves your grip, especially when wet. The ergonomic lever also makes work easier, as there is no need to unlock the machine again while working, as long as one hand continuously remains on the rear handle.

CONTROL LEVER WITH POTENTIOMETER FUNCTION

FOR COMFORTABLE HANDLING. The control lever with potentiometer function allows you to control the speed of your battery chainsaw on an infinitely variable basis, and in this way easily control and adjust its performance as needed.

TWO-HANDED OPERATION

ENSURES COMFORTABLE WORK. Your STIHL chainsaw has an ergonomically shaped handle and a comfortable rear control handle with soft components. Thanks to this two-handed operation, you can work comfortably, effortlessly and safely in all positions.

TOOL-FREE FUEL CAP FOR OIL TANKS

QUICK AND EASY TO USE. Thanks to the bayonet closure, you can open and close the tool-free fuel cap in just a few simple steps.

EC ENGINE

LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.

ERGONOMIC UNLOCK BUTTON

FOR SAFE STARTING. By pressing the unlock button, you can enable controlled operation of the power tool. Only after it has been pressed is it possible to operate the trigger button. Activation is indicated by a flashing LED. After that, you must start working within 5 seconds or the power tool will switch off again. This prevents the power tool from starting unintentionally when stationary, for example during transport or maintenance.
