GTA 40 Battery Garden Pruner AS-System Skin Only

The STIHL GTA 40 battery-powered garden pruner is operated with 2 lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AS System and is ideal for tree and shrub care, professional work in horticulture and landscaping, and processing wood and woody materials on construction sites. The STIHL GTA 40 can also be used by trained arborists for pruning within the crown of a standing tree. Whether used for tree care in parks and gardens, crown correction work, drywall construction, interior fittings or roofing jobs, the GTA 40 impresses with its compact design, low weight and excellent balance for forward, backward and plunge cutting, as well as high cutting performance and long battery life.

With the particularly powerful EC engine and STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain, you are equipped for clean cutting and fast progress. Speed-dependent automatic chain lubrication is another advantage of the STIHL GTA 40. To facilitate precise handling, the battery-powered garden pruner has an ergonomically shaped operating handle with hand guard and an upper grip point for the second hand. This is shaped in such a way as to prevent slipping as much as possible. The claw-shaped deflector mechanism attached to the front also visually and haptically separates the upper grip area from the cutting attachment. Further useful features of the GTA 40 include the mechanical operating system with rocker on both sides, variable chain speed, sprocket cover with side-mounted chain tensioning and LED charge-level indicator. Not to be overlooked: steel hook-in eyelets on both sides for attaching fall protection – for example during treetop maintenance.

The battery-powered GTA 40 garden pruner has been designed for professional applications and daily work, even in adverse weather conditions. It is therefore certified as splashproof. The effectiveness of this is also verified through demanding internal tests. For the STIHL GTA 40, the splash protection that has already been proven by internal testing has also been certified in accordance with the IPX4 protection class.
