The STIHL FSA 70 R is a battery-powered brushcutter designed for tackling the toughest mowing, cutting and clearing jobs you may face in your home garden. Part of the AK System of battery tools, this brushcutter has low noise emissions you don’t have to worry about disturbing any neighbours either.
The FSA 70 R is supplied with the AutoCut C 12-2, a mowing head designed exclusively for brushcutters with the STIHL Rapid Click System. The mowing head can be used with 2.0mm or 2.4mm mowing line, and fits to the brushcutter without the need for any additional tools – simply click it in place and you are ready to go! Removing the head is simple too, simply click the side button to remove the mowing head – making rewinding it with mowing line even easier. You can also fit the FSA 70 R with the PolyCut 12-2 mowing head (sold separately), which also clicks in place without the need for tools.
Fitted with a loop handle that has a quick-mounting system, which means you can adjust the handle to your height for an ergonomic working position. This handle also makes mowing on slopes, around trees or on uneven terrains even easier. The FSA 70 R has a powerful brushless EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 2 different speed settings. There is an ECO mode (level 1), for simple tasks such as trimming lawn edges, which results in lower energy consumption for extended battery life. And there is full speed mode (level 2), for mowing thicker grass, which will use more of the battery energy.

IMPORTANT TOOL DATA AT A GLANCE. Useful information is clearly displayed on the easy-to-read OLED display. This includes the charge level of the installed battery, the selected blade opening width and the total number of cuts.
RAPID CLICK SYSTEM
MOWING HEAD REMOVABLE WITH THE PRESS OF A BUTTON. With the intuitive Rapid Click System, you just need to press a button: the AutoCut line mowing head is immediately in your hand, which makes winding it even easier. When using the PolyCut mowing head, the plastic blades can also be changed quickly and easily by hand. Then, with just a “click”, the mowing head is securely remounted and the brushcutter is ready to start.
TOOL-FREE ADJUSTABLE LOOP HANDLE
FLEXIBLE ADJUSTMENT, FLEXIBLE MOWING. The loop handle can be quickly and easily adjusted without tools for an ergonomic working position adapted to your height. In addition, the optimised geometry of the loop handle supports flexible working with plenty of freedom to maneuver and precise guidance of your power tool in different mowing situations
SINGLE-HANDED MULTI-FUNCTION HANDLE WITH SPEED CON
EASY ADJUSTMENT OF POWER TOOL PERFORMANCE. Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.
POWER LEVELS
PERFORMANCE SUITABLE FOR THE TASK. With the help of a simple slider, you can set 2 different power levels. At level 1, you reduce the power (Eco mode) and extend the battery life. Level 2 allows you to call up the full power of the engine. This means that you can either work particularly energy-efficiently or use all the power of the device when you need it.

FOR SAFE STORAGE. The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.
POWER LEVELS
INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition. STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
