With a shaft length of 185 cm, the STIHL FS 461 C-EM L petrol-driven clearing saw is ideal for supporting particularly tall professionals in landscape maintenance, agriculture and municipal operations.It enhances ergonomics during long periods of mowing on difficult terrain, as well as offering extended reach, for example when thinning and removing tough, matted grass and scrub. The STIHL FS 461 C-EM L petrol-driven clearing saw provides efficient support for demanding, large-area mowing tasks.
Aided by the extremely powerful and economical STIHL 2-MIX engine and a very large 300mm mowing circle diameter, you can complete your tasks more quickly than ever. Even starting the tool is easy, as the petrol-driven brushcutter features STIHL Easy2Start. STIHL M-Tronic 3.0 delivers optimum engine performance and a constant maximum engine speed.
The ergonomic bike handle (mowing handle) supports a natural scything movement when mowing with the brushcutter, for comfortable use of the STIHL FS 461 C-EM L. The STIHL ADVANCE PLUS universal harness, supplied as standard, is an invaluable accessory if you work with the STIHL FS 461 C-EM L brushcutter for long periods. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces vibrations during work to lift the strain on your muscles and joints.
The single-handed multi-function handle also simplifies your work, as all engine functions can be operated with just one hand. Press the stop button to quickly restart your work after a break, without needing to switch the tool on and off.
The STIHL FS 461 C-EM L petrol-driven clearing saw can be fitted with variouscutting tools: a grass-cutting blade, shredder blade, circular saw blade and various mowing heads. The brushcutter comes with the STIHL 300-3 brush knife as standard. The FS 461 C-EM L brushcutter is fitted with a large mowing guard to protect you from flying cuttings and small stones.

EFFORTLESS STARTING. STIHL Easy2start saves you energy when starting your power tools. A smooth and even pull on the starter cord is all that’s needed. The required speed on the starter cord is significantly reduced, and the engine starts quickly and reliably even with a slow pull. An additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord roll makes this easier.

EFFORTLESS MOWING OF LARGE AREAS. The ergonomic bike handle helps you mow large areas quickly and effortlessly, as this handle supports a natural brushcutter movement. The bike handle is easy to adjust and secure.
STIHL 2-MIX Engine
The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. Separating the exhaust emissions from the unburnt gas minimises scavenging losses, and therefore increases the power output while reducing consumption.
The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2-MIX technology saves up to 20% of fuel and reduces emissions by up to 70% compared to STIHL 2-stroke engines of the same performance class without 2-MIX technology.
STOP BUTTON
RESTART WORK QUICKLY. With the stop button, you can switch off your power tool quickly and easily for a short break, for example. As the button springs back to its original position after actuation, the engine is immediately ready to start again. This provides more comfort after breaks and increases your work efficiency.
TOOL-FREE HANDLE ADJUSTMENT
SET THE BIKE HANDLE POSITION. You can individually adjust the ergonomic bike handle (mowing handle) using the central clamping device. Thanks to the tool-free handle adjustment, you do not need any tools for this. The bike handle can be rotated 90 degrees for transport and space-saving storage.

RELIABLE WORK WITH BEST PERFORMANCE. With the STIHL M-Tronic, you have the best performance from your implement right from the start. The fully electronic engine management regulates the ignition point and fuel metering in every work situation, taking into account external conditions such as temperature, altitude and fuel quality.
STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to longer-term effects of blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL have therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system where by the oscillations from the machines engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
COMPENSATOR
REDUCED MAINTENANCE. The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.
MANUAL FUEL PUMP
A small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button. This reduces the number of starting strokes required from a cold start.
CHANGEOVER BETWEEN SUMMER AND WINTER OPERATION
