Low-fatigue cutting for pruning trees, shrubs and plants

In comparison with conventional pruning shears, STIHL ASA 20 battery-powered pruning shears make cutting work noticeably easier in tree, hedge, shrub, ornamental plant and vine maintenance tasks – in domestic situations as well as when working in crop fields or vineyards, for example.

The pruning shears, powered by a battery from the STIHL AS System, feature blades that stay sharp for a long time, while needing very little maintenance and being impressively easy to use. In addition, their battery-powered support means you need to apply significantly less force when working. As a further advantage it offers precise cutting results with consistently smooth cut edges. This makes cuts less susceptible to infection and contributes to healthy growth.

STIHL ASA 20 battery-powered pruning shears make it easy for you to comfortably cut branches up to a diameter of 25 mm. The ergonomically designed, well-balanced softgrip handle and progressive cutting system also contribute to this. The ASA 20 has 2 blade opening widths, facilitating ideal adaptation to the cutting task at hand. This makes it possible for you to achieve faster progress when cutting a lot of thinner branches, for example. The easy-to-read OLED display of the ASA 20 battery-powered pruning shears gives you an overview of the battery charge level, the selected blade opening width and the total number of cuts made. The integrated on-board tool means that while you are working you can carry out simple maintenance tasks on the spot, such as adjusting the blade clearance. The included blade guard prevents contact with the blades during transport and storage of the ASA 20 battery-powered pruning shears.

PROGRESSIVE CUT

CONTROLLED AND PRECISE. For maximum cutting control and very precise cuts, the movement of the blade follows the movement of the finger on the control lever during cutting. The blade only closes as far as the control lever is pressed and opens again immediately when the lever is released.

2 BLADE OPENING WIDTHS

FLEXIBLE ADJUSTMENT OF BLADE OPENING TO SUIT THICK AND THIN BRANCHES. For a blade opening appropriate to the thickness of branches you are working with, you can choose between 2 opening widths. After initially switching on, the blade opening is always set to the larger width. The smaller opening width can be selected when you are pruning thinner branches. The benefit: the blade does not need to be fully opened. This increases cutting speed and work progress. The set blade opening width is shown on the display.

INTEGRATED ON-BOARD TOOL STORAGE

PRACTICAL AND ALWAYS AT HAND. A compact maintenance tool is stored in the battery compartment, so you can easily adjust the blade clearance, lubricate the blades and open the service flap for blade replacement. Which means you always have the perfect tool at hand when you need it.
